Three defeats in Four for Spurs

All Sport

Tottenham missed the chance to guarantee themselves a top four finish on Saturday afternoon.

They were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth, who scored the winner in injury time through Nathan Ake.

Spurs also had Son Heung-Min and Juan Foyth sent off for poor challenges, with both being shown straigh red cards.

It's far from ideal preparation for the north Londoners Champions League semi-final with Ajax on Wednesday night.

Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers was named man of the match afterwards, on his Premier League debut. The Kildare-native, who played youth soccer with Cherry Orchard and Shamrock Rovers, was recently called up by Ireland manager Mick McCarthy.
