Swimmer Keane Clinches Gold For Ireland

Ellen Keane has won gold for Ireland at the Paralympics.

The Clontarf woman took first in the final of the SB8 100 metres breaststroke in a time of 1 minute 19-point-9-3 seconds.

It's Ireland's first medal of the games and a new personal best time for Keane who won a bronze in Rio in 2016.  

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has offered his congratulations on a 'brilliant performance'.
