Liverpool leave it late to maintain perfect start

Milner slots the crucial late penalty

Liverpool's perfect start to the season continued on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds beat Leicester 2-1, although they left it late, as they needed a stoppage time penalty, scored by James Milner, to claim the points.

They've now won eight from eight, and lead by eight points at the top. A late challenge by Hamza Choudhury on Mo Salah saw the Egyptian limping off the pitch before the end.

Elsewhere, two Ireland internationals had differing fortunes as Burnley beat Everton at 1-0 Turf Moor. Jeff Hendrick scored the goal, while Seamus Coleman was sent off for the Toffees.

In the other games, Aston Villa thrashed Norwich 5-1, with Conor Hourihane getting in on the scoring act, while Watford remain without a Premier League win, so far, this season after being held to a 0-0 draw by Sheffield United.
