Manchester United forward Juan Mata says footballers earn "obscene" amounts of money and live in a bubble. The Spanish international is believed to earn around 150-thousand pounds a week. In a TV interview with a station in his homeland, Mata said "kids think they're rock stars, start driving flash cars, sometimes you have to take them aside and have a word". He also claimed he'd take a pay cut if it meant less business involvement in football.
