He's part of boss Stephen Kenny's 25-panel for the upcoming World Cup 2022 qualifiers.
Experienced goalkeeper Darren Randolph is among those to miss out.
Ireland are away to Portugal next Wednesday before home fixtures against Azerbaijan and Serbia.
