A plan to reduce plastic waste will see up to 25 cent added to the price of a single-use coffee cup from next year.
The cost of plastic bags will be also be increased.
A second phase of taxes planned for 2022 would focus on takeaway containers.
A third phase the following year will tackle plastic food packaging.
