Blatter And Platini Charged With Fraud

All Sport

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and ex-UEFA boss Michel Platini have both been charged with fraud and other offences by Swiss prosecutors.

The charges come after a six-year investigation into a controversial payment made to Platini - which he claims was for backdated salary.

It was approved by Blatter - and was worth around 2 millions euros.

The case led to both men losing their jobs - and the football governing bodies were engulfed in scandal.

They deny wrongdoing - but face trial in a matter of months.
