The NBRU says it's worried that it will take the killing of a Bus Driver to get a transport policing unit put in place.
New stats show there were over 200 attacks on Dublin Bus staff over the last two years.
According to details released under the Freedom of Information Act, there were 107 assaults in 2018 and 100 last year.
The NBRU says anti-social incidents will get worse if it's not addressed soon.
