Balbriggan locals says they hope the burial of Baby Belle can be delayed to allow her mother to come forward.
More than a hundred people turned out for a candelight vigil in the town last night - days after the infant's body was found on a nearby beach.
Gardaí are not treating the discovery as a criminal act - and are urging her mum to come forward to seek help.
