Two weather warnings issued for Dublin

We're being told to expect unsettled weather into tomorrow.

Dublin is in for another wet and windy night.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind and rain warnings.

The wind warning will take effect from 5 o'clock this evening until 5am tomorrow.

A yellow rainfall warning is also in place, from now until 5 o'clock tomorrow morning.

Met Eireann's Head of Forecasting, Evelyn Cusack, says there's still some unsettled weather to come:

"We have a pretty windy and blustery day ahead today," she said.

"We'll have heavy thundery downpours today, and a windy day tomorrow as well with further heavy showers.

"It will gradually improve over the weekend. We're not heading into a fine spell by any manner or means, but there'll be no more storms in the short term."
