She was reportedly hit with pepper spray during the incident that happened in Rathmines yesterday morning.
The Irish Independent reports that pepper spray was used in front of a 2 year-old girl during the incident, which hit the child.
She was taken to Crumlin hospital but no injuries were reported.
A short time after the burglary a man in his 30s was arrested in west Dublin.
He has since been released from custody and a file is to be prepared for the DPP.
