Thousands Expected To Attend Protest In Raheny Tomorrow

All Q102 News

Northside residents are gearing up for a massive demonstration in Raheny this weekend.

Thousands are expected to turn out tomorrow - to oppose a new application for more than 650 apartments at St. Anne's Park.

The developer initially had plans for a mix of 536 houses and apartments.

It now wants to build blocks of nine storeys in height, along with 500 parking spaces on former playing pitches used by St Paul’s College beside the park.

Local Senator Aodhan O'Riordain says St. Anne's is the heart of the community and must be protected.
