Tabs Banned In Dáil Bar

All Q102 News

The Dáil's banned tabs in its bar.

It's after five and a half grand's worth of unpaid bills were written off last year.

One former politician owed nearly a grand.

TDs and politicians have been able to get food and drink on credit up until now -- but according to The Times Ireland Edition, that's to be scrapped.

They'll now have to authorise credit cards or agree to salary reductions if they want to open a tab.

The paper claims politicians will be given credit for two months at most -- but then deductions will be taken from their card or wages.

The Oireachtas has also refused to reveal which politicians had their debts written off.
