The security bill for the visit of British Royals William and Kate is expected to be around one million euro.
They travel to Dublin tomorrow and will stay in the country until Thursday.
It's being reported in the Herald that that money will pay for armed Gardaí and snipers for walkabouts.
Some drains will also be welded shut so no devices can be planted.
Harry and Meghan's visit in 2018 cost €300,000 for 36 hours.
