The Justice Minister hopes an agreement can be reached soon on a new date for the controversial RIC commemoration.
It was planned for Friday week but has been deferred following backlash over the police forces' association with the 'Black and Tans.'
The RIC/DMP commemoration is not a celebration. It’s about remembering our history, not condoning what happened. We will also remember the terrible burning of Cork, Balbriggan, partition and the atrocities of the Civil War.
