Reduced Capacity After Graffiti Attack On Train

All Q102 News

There's reduced capacity on some trains this evening due to vandalism.

Irish Rail says one train was graffitied and has to be sent for cleaning.

They're appealing to the public not to damage important transport infrastructure.

Spokesperson Jane Cregan says it'll impact a number of services;

"So we have a number of services that are operating at reduced capacity this afternoon

"The 1450 Drogheda/Bray and the 1700 Bray/Maynooth, the 1840 Maynooth/Pearse, the 1941 Pearse/Maynooth and then finally the 2040 Maynooth/Pearse

"We'd appeal to all members of the public not to graffiti trains or any train property

"It can lead to situations like this where we have reduced capacity

"It also diverts our resources into something that is needless and would be better spent doing other things", she told us.
