There's been a ten percent increase in applications for passports this year.
In response to a Parliamentary Question from Fianna Fáil TD Darragh O'Brien the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed 719,675 were issued.
That figure is expected to rise to almost 740,000 by the end of the year.
Deputy O'Brien says the rise can undoubtedly be put down to BREXIT.
