Northside Has Highest Number Of No-Shows At Virus Test Centres

All Q102 News

There were more than 14 thousand no shows at Coronavirus test centres last month.

In total more than 240 thousand tests were carried out.

The worst level of non-attendance was on the northside of Dublin.

The HSE told the Business Post that they had to set up two temporary testing centres in Poppintree and Charlestown to deal with the high number of people not turning up for their swab.

The level of no-shows on the southside was much lower.

Yesterday, 344 new cases of the virus were confirmed with 4 new deaths.

The head of the HSE Paul Reid says it's essential that all appointments are kept to stop the spread of Covid-19.
