The 30 kilometre an hour speed limit is set be rolled out to more areas of Dublin.
The initiaitve is already in force in the city centre and some suburbs.
Recent research by the RSA found that almost 6 in 10 drivers break the speed limit in urban areas.
30 K zones was the focus of the Road Safety Authority's annual lecture today.
