The find was made last week.
A man in his 30s has been arrested and charged after an incident involving a gun at a shop in Dublin.
He was detained yesterday following the incident in Terenure on Friday.
A firearm has been recovered by Gardaí.
The man is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
