Sean McCarthy's remains were discovered on Saturday.
A man in his 30's was arrested after the discovery of Sean McCarthy's remains last weekend.
The body of the 28 year old from Poppintree in Ballymun was found in an apartment in Achill Road in Drumcondra.
He had been shot a number of times.
Mr McCarthy's family had reported him missing from his home where he was last seen over a week ago.
His body was found wrapped in bags and in a wardrobe.
A man is due before the courts this morning.
