The incindent happened over the long weekend.
A man has been arrested following a violent attack on another man near Stephens Green.
The assault took place near the junction of Stephen's Green and Harcourt Street in the early hours of Monday the 5th of August.
A man, in his 30s, was taken to St James's Hospital with serious injuries.
While another man, also in his 30s, was charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice yesterday morning.
The Guards are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact them.
