Irish Rail has blasted "reckless drivers" after three trucks hit bridges and level crossings around the country this afternoon.
Here in the city, one truck hit a bridge on Pearse Street while another truck struck a level crossing on Serpentine Avenue an hour later.

Reckless driving by three #dumbtruckers causing delays up to 30 mins, trains have resumed, working to clear delays ASAP. 😡🚛
Irish Rail labelled the drivers as "dumb truckers", adding that delays of up to 45 minutes were expected to DART services, while Maynooth services were running 35 minutes behind schedule.
Update: Serpentine level crossing delays have begun to ease. However, delays are as follows due to congestion on the line caused by the earlier incidents:
