Ireland's first baby of the new year and the new decade was born in the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.
Patience Setuke delivered her first child, Victoria, at 12 minutes past midnight.
Children were also born before 1am in Cork, Galway, Waterford and Tipperary.
But Victoria was the first baby of 2020 - and her mother, Patience, was delighted to create history.
