Gardai say their work exposes them to Covid-19 and they need to be vaccinated as a priority.
A new survey by the Garda Representative Association shows over 1,000 officers are currently unable to work because of the virus.
268 are infected and 899 are self-isolating.
Tipperary is the worst division for positive cases - 35 officers there have the virus, with 65 restricting their movements.
While Sligo/Leitrim has 23 members of the force infected and 31 self-isolating.
