Gardai investigating serious injuries inflicted on a homeless man along the canal, are appealing to speak to witnesses.
The man, in his thirties, suffered life-changing injuries when attempts were made to remove his tent during a clean-up.
Waterways Ireland says it was dealing with what it's called a "public safety hazard" along the banks of the Grand Canal yesterday afternoon.
Anyone who saw what happened at Wilton Terrace is asked to contact Gardai.
