Three fire engines, a wildfire response 4x4 and a water tanker were deployed to the scene last night at Mullins Hill.
The units from Dun Laoghaire battled to extinguish the wildfire throughout the night.
Responders say a strong wind also sent smoke across a wide area.
Two fire engines remained on scene throughout the night and into the morning, to continue to deal with any flare ups and contain any further spread due to wind.
