FAI Cash Crisis Triggers Concern Over Euro 2020 Fixtures At The Aviva

All Q102 News

There are concerns major international football matches won't go ahead here in Dublin this summer because of the FAI's cash crisis.

It emerged yesterday the association has failed to pay the Gardai nearly 360,000 euro for policing duties at games last year.

The Aviva Stadium is due to stage four matches of Euro 2020 in June.

Catherine Murphy, a member of the Oireachtas sports committee, says it's very important the games go ahead.
