It's hoped the regeneration of a 1960s flat complex in the inner city can now go ahead, despite fears about rapidly escalating costs.
Residents at Dominick Street were worried the plan would be halted, after it emerged an additional ten million euro was needed to complete the regeneration project.
Some locals had even threatened to block the new Luas Cross City line - which runs alongside the site - if the plans fell through.
