Google is releasing a fix for battery issues related to the Covid-19 tracker app today.
Users with android phones have complained over the weekend, of a rapid drain in power and that their phones were unusually hot to touch.
It comes as new figures show 86,000 Android users who had installed the app have since deleted it.
The HSE has apologised for the technical problems, and is asking people who have removed the app to re-install it.
