An investigation is underway after a suspected pipe bomb was discovered at a flat complex in the north inner city.
Gardaí were alerted to the incident off Dorset Street at around half 9 last night - leading to the army bomb disposal team being called in.
A security cordon was set up and the device was later removed to Cathal Brugha Barracks for further examination.
