More than a third of people say charity fundraisers are 'aggressive' and 'annoying'.
A new survey from the office of the Charities Regulator also revealed high levels of dissatisfaction with the way street fundraising by so called 'chuggers' is conducted.
Another 37 percent said being approached on their doorstep was inappropriate, while a third worry about where their donation is going and one percent of people admitted they never give to charity.
However, 22 percent of people say they understand that charities need to pursue all options.
