Cancers left undiagnosed due to Covid

At least 10 per cent of cancers weren't diagnosed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Irish Cancer Society will also tell an Oireachtas committee today one in six people still aren't going to their GP with health concerns. 

It says patients are eventually presenting with more advanced cancers - which could affect survival rates.

Rachel Morrogh, from the Irish Cancer Society, says the disruption to services during the pandemic has had a big impact.
