Buying a house in some parts of Dublin is almost 500 euros a month cheaper than renting.
Research from Info Lab says splashing out on a 3 bed home in Dublin 10 will cost around 13 hundred euros a month.
Renting in the same area could cost up to 18 hundred a month.
Joey Sheahan from mymortgages.ie told the Irish Daily Mail that people don't realise their mortgage repayments could be significantly lower.
