Andrew McGinley has met with HSE reps and says he is pleased with the outcome.
The grieving father called for a meeting with authorities in the wake of the court judgement regarding his wife Deirdre Morley.
Ms Morley was found not guilty by reason of insanity of killing her three children Conor, Darragh and Carla.
Mr McGinley has tweeted to say he is pleased with the preliminary meeting and the commitments the HSE made.
He says the same meeting needs to be conducted with Deirdre and her counsel.
